The moka pot is a stove-top, electric, gas or induction coffee maker that brews coffee by passing boiling water pressurised by steam through ground coffee. Named after the Yemeni city of Mocha and it was invented by an Italian engineer Alfonso Bialetti whose product was made world famous by his son Renato Bialetti. Renato passed away in 2016 at age 93. His three children honoured him by placing his ashes in a large replica of the his moka pot!
